APSGB - UK Pharm Sci meeting 2017.
T
he SPaeDD consortium co-chaired and organised a conference session at the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences ‘UK Pharm Sci conference’ on the 6th September 2017.  The session was entitled ‘Drug Delivery: Innovation through Cooperation’. The structure of the session was an overview by Dr Alastair Coupe, Pfizer on the SPaeDD objectives and work stream activity summary; followed by an in depth technical dissemination of WS2 by Dr Jonathan Brown, BMS; followed by a round table discussion of the challenges and benefits of academic-industrial collaboration.

The session provided an excellent opportunity to relay the activities of the program to peers working in the field of paediatric drug development and receive feedback and suggestions of further avenues to explore.

A podium presentation was given by Giovanna Mencarelli at the 8th EuPFI meeting in Portugal on 21st / 22nd September, 2016.  The presentation was entitled:

"AGE RELATED BIORELEVANT DISSOLUTION TESTING FOR PAEDIATRIC FORMULATIONS"

A copy of the accompanying poster is available below.

A podium presentation was given by Nikoletta Fotaki at the 8th EuPFI meeting in Portugal on 21st / 22nd September, 2016.  The presentation was entitled:

"PREDICTING PERFORMANCE IN PAEDIATRIC POPULATIONS WITH PBPK MODELLING AND BIORELEVANT IN VITRO DATA"

A poster was presented by Punam Mistry at the 7th APS International PharmSci 2016 'Pharmaceutical Sciences: Improving World Health'.  The poster is entitled:

"Comparison of three tools to assess acceptability of oral medicines in a paediatric inpatient population"
A poster was presented at the 10th World Meeting on Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology (PBP) on 7th April 2016, on the subject of the ACCEPT study (Patient-reported outcome measures to assess acceptability of medicines within a paediatric population).  The poster presented is shown below:

Two invited podium presentations* (available below) were given as part of dissemination activities of the research program at the APS UK Pharmaceutical Sciences Conference 2015 at the East Midlands Conference Centre, Nottingham on Wednesday 9th September at 11:45am.

The details of the session were:
